The Power Plant, at Haxall Point on Downtown Richmond’s Canal Walk, will be the hub for TEDxRVA. Built in 1894, this coal power plant was the source of power behind one of our nation’s most innovative industrial advances: a successful public-transit electric streetcar system. The plant has been dormant since the late 1960s. TEDxRVA is awakening this historic landmark to a new era of innovation.  With its roots in power, movement and creativity, it is the perfect site for TEDxRVA.
